RED BULL SOAPBOX BROADCAST DESIGN PACKAGE

Commissioned to create a new graphic styling for the iconic Red Bull Soapbox series broadcasted live on UKTV's Dave.

Teams of amateur racers design and build their own gravity-powered, engine-less soapbox vehicles and race them against the clock in an extreme downhill battle in front of thousands of fans and TV viewers around the world.

Our role was to overhaule all the broadcast graphics and deliver a refreshed 4K package that reflected the homemade DIY aesthetic of the show. We opted for a workshop/shed environment, created in 3D using Cinema 4D, and focused on well used tools crashing down for the opening sequence & bumpers. The tool theme was used throughout incorporating them into a range of lower thirds variables, shed style backdrops for green screen environments, licence plates for the finishing times & speed traps and 3D model 'power tools' for transitions / wipes.
